Caterham’s supercar killer!

There are few four wheeled vehicles in this world that have an acceleration that is so fast that you could find yourself with a case of whiplash if you get your launch right and it’s very clear that the Caterham R500 is one of them!

0 – 100 in 2.93seconds is not funny, its pure craziness, and I love it!

Weighing in at 506kgs and a 198kw of brutal power gives off power to weight ration of 388kw per tonne. That is enough to get any car enthusiast grinning like 4 year old in a toy shop. Powered by a Ford Duratec engine in a 2.0litre shell, the Caterham costs 37 ooo pounds for the base model, with optional race spec extras that total an extra 5000 pounds!

    If only they put a roof and maybe an aircon this could be a daily driver.

    @Angel - Impressive to find a lady that knows that Caterham is a Lotus product!

    @Saul - I'd rather put my cash into a new C63AMG than add an aircon and a cd player to this car. I guess I'm not loaded enough to think of this as another car in the garage!
