I’ve read a few articles and heard quite a few rumours about recent security breaches. I’ve also had many conversations about the safety of data within a cloud computing enviroment like the one that Google is trying to build with services like GMail, Google Docs, Google Calendar, iGoogle, etc.
With the profiling information that Google has at hand, combined with a full set of cached copies of the entire internet and a search engine as powerful as Google’s, nothing stands in its way from owning the internet!
I’m a huge Google fan and depend on my GMail account, hence the great big sigh of relief at the announcement by the okes at Google that GMail is secure and all the breaches that we have heard about is untrue.
Check out the announcement on their Security Blog!

This is really good to know, I use so many Google services it’s getting a bit out of hand, so knowing that my information is safe is critical!
