    Two years ago, if pulled over in SA like I was here in California, I probably would've been taken to court for exceeding the speed limit well above 40km/h. I was going about 95km/h over the limit and given a very blunt tongue lashing by the officer about speeding and as he added at the end "How much gas costs and you're burning it all up!" I've never sped excessively ever again.
