I have a very good understanding of the consequences imposed on the environment by our mismanagement and blatant neglect over the many years of our technological evolution. Global warming is as serious as AIDS and sadly, like AIDS, some think that a shower will cure things and everything will be hunky dory all over again.

It takes a certain kind of stupid to be that naive, but yet still the world is filled with many thousands of idiots who continue on the path of doom with respect to managing their impact on the environment.

We have seen many tech companies come to the party with green projects and with the emerge of Kyoto 2 and its tax implications, many companies are scrambling to embrace green strategies as early as possible while it is still seen as a PR campaign.

At the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona just a week ago, the guys and Nokia announced a pretty strong green strategy, pledging the companies willingness to take responsible measures to minimise the impact imposed on the environment. Calling it WE, the campaign highlights the power of unity and embraces the idea of communal projects and strategic partnerships to benefit the mobile phone giants green strategy!
