How to get your own Facebook domain!

Posted on 13 June 2009 by DChetty

It’s is now possible to get your own domain from Facebook which is much easier to use and tell your friends about.

http://facebook.com/MyName is much easier to use than the standard Facebook profile URL that we all hate.

In order to get a Vanity URL, all you have to do, is log into Facebook using your username and password as you would normally do.

  1. Go to http://facebook.com/username
  2. The system will generate a few options for you to select from or you can select a new option
  3. Select it and click ok and thats it!

If you get lost and can’t figure anything out, use the Facebook Help pages to sort it out.

It’s a good move. I just hope people don’t mess it with devilsgirlinheaven44.love bullshit!

@islandchic – It is a great move. What it actually does, is make it easier for its users to expand their networks. The viral network growth has sort of calmed down as people reach critical mass with their friends lists. This simply helps boost the dying trend. :)
