How to join Wikileak’s Operation Payback!

If you are a vigilante and you are keen to join the onslaught against companies that sided against the work of Wikileaks, heres how to join the attacks.

If you don’t know what the deal is, check out the article on iMod posted yesterday and the Bandwidth Blog post

You should also follow @AnonOpsNet on twitter to stay up to date with the attack strategy.

Configuration Guide for Operation Payback

Windows:

If you do not, install MS. NET Framework 3.5
Download LOIC Hivemind and unzip it to your desktop.
LOIC starts running Loic.exe.
Server (server): irc.AnonOps.net
Channel (canal): # loic
Choose “HiveMind mode.”
Sit back and enjoy the show.

Linux:

Download and extract the latest version of LOIC
Open a terminal and type (without quotes) “sudo apt-get install wine” and expects to complete the installation
In a terminal type (without quotes) “wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks.”
In a terminal type (without quotation marks) winetricks sh “and select dotnet20 application, and install
Go to Applications>> Wine clicking on “Browse C: drive” then move the extracted files in c LOIC:
Now go to where you moved the files and select properties and give LOIC.EXE
In the Permissions tab select “allow executing file”
Right click on LOIC.EXE and then open with Wine

P.S. Do this at your OWN risk. My stance on this is that there are better ways to fight this fight, but others passionately believe that this will work.

To add just one thing to a great breakdown, #setup (channel) on the server is a good place if you need advice on how to get started :)

i feel i m kinda late = i do everything as it said but my LOIC can t get connected to “thealps.anonops-irc.com” & the other one- i think it s normal and nothing is happening now, i mean, on this side. You guys might be busy doing smthg else. let me now when u need noobs ;)

When i try to choose the Op Fucking HiveMind (IRCServer:irc.AnonOps.net,POrt:6667,Channel:#secret) Always appears a Modal window: Did You Filled Correct IRC Options Correctly? and i click accept and nothings happends, WF i ma doing wrong? I kill my Kaspersky AV and nothings happens.. Thanx folks.

you can do it manual and " api.paypal.com " as irl target actually now m using one of the ad smbdy's posted-frist one-, it works now

For those interested, there is a native port for Linux using QT: http://sourceforge.net/projects/loiq/ You won't have to run through wine.

Same prolem like Dr.green, any servers up's, always the programm say loggin in..., and we are not participating to break down pay pal, besides, what method i have to use?TCP,UDP or HTTP with port: 443...

Hi guys, For those who think they are anonymous please think twice and check this link, it says they aren't *at all* http://yro.slashdot.org/story/10/12/11/0228212/Anonymous-WikiLeaks-Proponents-Not-So-Anonymous?from=rss Makes LOIC looking like a honeypot somehow, relating your attacks on the web also will not help you to hide. Who are you going to trust to hide your IP ? Maybe there is more constructive action and militantism than using this kind of tool by the way. Might need more involvment from you of course... but you would know who you are participating to attack indeed, and why, and... if you agree on this !?
